The pet projects, designed by Ekwenibe, a final year student of Estate
Management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, which goes by the title,
Strategic Transformation Agenda for Regeneration, is in line with her key
responsibilities as Miss Institutes Nigeria
Arrangements have been concluded for the flag off of the pet
projects of Miss Institutes Nigeria 2012, Miss Sylvia N. Ekwenibe.
The pet projects, designed by Ekwenibe, a final year student of Estate Management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, which goes by the title, Strategic Transformation Agenda for Regeneration, is in line with her key responsibilities as Miss Institutes Nigeria.
Such responsibilities include “serving as an ambassador worthy of emulation for Nigerian youths, especially the females.”
The projects have four cardinal operational dimensions.
These are
• TrUHands: a youth empowerment conference and symposiums on leadership and vocational skills acquisition;
• Reboot: an environment Sustainability Sensitization initiative;
• Health for the Needy: an initiative aimed at addressing the health needs of some less privileged homes as well as the aged ones;
• Social Alert: an initiative designed to sensitize the general public on the dangers social networking and how to be security conscious.
The flag off phase of the project TrUHands, called TrUHands leadership conference, which is for Presidents of Students Union Governments from notable tertiary institutions across the nation, according to the MIBP Coordinator, Bode Mac. Oserinde, is aimed at encouraging the leadership towards maintaining a successful and exemplary administration.
The one-day conference, with the theme: “Right Steps against Wrong Time: Hallmark of Purposeful Leadership,” is scheduled to hold on April 11, 2013 at Lekki Oxford Hotels, Lekki, Lagos State.
It is scheduled to hold from 10am.
Billed as motivational speakers for the programme that has been described as life-impacting, are Azuh Arinze, Ogbo Awoke Ogbo, Victoria Ibezim-Ohaeri and Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu.
Miss Institutes Nigeria 2012 is the crown-bearer of the first-ever beauty pageant – Miss Institutes Beauty Pageant – an initiative of Fanafillit Integrated Concepts for students of Colleges of Education, Polytechnics and Universities in Nigeria.
It would be recalled that its maiden edition was held on September 16, 2012 and graced by the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ikuforiji Adeyemi, as the Special Guest of Honour, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Government on Education, Otunba Fatai Olukoga, as Guest of Honour.
Major sponsor of the conference is Lekki Oxford Hotels, Lekki, Lagos.
