Governor Murtala Nyako of Ada-mawa State has threatened to take a legal
action against African Independent Television (AIT) for what it called
professional misconduct and reportage of falsehood.
Nyako, who was reacting to a news item by AIT on Wednesday that his election
had been inva-lidated by the Appeal Court sitting in Yola, said the report was
politically motivated by his traducers.
Nyako said as a responsible government, he will not allow any action that will jeopardise the peace being enjoyed in Adamawa State.
He said, “AITs action is a parody of the noble profession’s ethics as the station intentionally attempted to cause commotion, confusion and anarchy in Adamawa”.
Nyako, who spoke through the state’s commissioner for justice, Barr. Ibrahim Tahir, said his government will not be distracted
