Tunde Bakare Condemns Goodluck For Kneeling Before Adeboye

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly said this of President Goodluck Jonathan:
"They have signaled the campaign by going to kneel down before Pastor Adeboye. See, I am not saying that pastors should not pray for presidents, that man was representing an office; a whole nation crumbling before men of God because of political advantage they think they can get. And if the prayer will bail him out, let us wait and see. The truth is who is preparing for 2015, which faction of the PDP? Is it the (Olusegun) Obasanjo faction? Or IBB faction? Or Jonathan faction? The governors’ faction? Because PDP is a house divided against itself; it’s a chicken that has begun to eat its own intestines. By going to kneel down in the open before the pastor, the man (Jonathan) did not even recognise the dignity of his office. If it were a private thing, it is okay for you to crawl or kneel but it is a whole nation. That office has been diminished by a man who does not know the worth of it and does not deserve to stay there for one more day"

Tunde Bakare u are not a true man of God and u also can never be Secretary to d Federal Govt, not to talk of VP. Jonathan is a human being and also a xtian. If you are a pastor and you can't kneel before your maker in prayers, shame on you. What exactly do you teach your congregation? Why would you condemn humility? God hates pride.     Yeye dey smell. Tunde Bakare,Mr President hasn't done anything wrong by kneeling before God through His priest. Can't you see that Nigeria needs serious prayers. Mr president has done the right thing by taking the whole Nigeria (kneeling) before God.
    I remember vividly one of your messages some years back when obasanjo was in power,the same Tunde Bakare preached a message strongly condemning the men of God who goes to Aso rock to pray for the president.He pointed out that in Bible days the prophets don't go to the kings but rather the kings go to the prophets to inquire of God. Now the same Tunde Bakare is running his mouth anyhow.I declare by the power at work in me,the power that raised Jesus from the dead, that Mr Tunde Bakare will not sit on the seat of the presidency,never,and so shall anyone he choses to be running mate to or that choses to be a running mate to him.

    When a man sits for prayer , they say he is proud.
    When he stands for prayer, they say he lacks respect.
    When he kneels for prayer, they now say he disgraces himself and his office.
    Our President has always knelt for prayer, when he is before the altar of God. That is simply humility before God.
    Why is this different?
    Pastor, which one do you do and teach?
    Is this outburst not a sign of end times?

    Tunde Bakare is right. You do not need to go and kneel before somebody to show how humble you are. Jonathan should rent his heart not his garment. The problem of Nigeria is religion. Religion does not make an average Nigeria to think clearly. The more the churches, the more wicked the people become. A lot of Nigerians apply different types of sentiments to almost everything. They sit in churches and expect manna to fall from heaven. An average Nigerian wants to rip you off of everything, starting from the security guard to the top. They will want to frustrate you just because you are not "cooperating". What a shame. We are yet to have a true leader in this country. We should be delivered from the politics of stomach and genitals. why can't Jonathan go and kneel in the corner of his room and talk to God.Is he a pharisee? H e should stop being tribalistic and a jingoist. Nigeria is a secular state unless it has ceased to be one. Be blessed Tunde Bakare. I see you as a true Nigerian.

      We all know What Nigeria is. We know our problems, and How much corruption has eaten into every fiber of our society. This however, does not give Mr Tunde's statement any credence. If you assert religion is the problem, then Tunde can't be excused. Jonathan and Adeboye represent different institutions. If Adeboye makes an official visit to Aso Rock, the president has obligations to act in the capacity of his office. Being president however does not demand he must be rid of his traditions, conviction and so on, in so far as they don't conflict with the interest of his office. A visit to a prayer house is No less personal than dinner with his family. Mr Tunde needs to stop whining if he has any political ambition, Nigeria is a country where the majority cast their vote by petty political sentiments. Taking on Adeboye and Jonathan in the same breath is a suicidal political move. He will only project the kind of image of himself that'll put more distance between him and any form of political success.

    This is hilarious. Someone in the Bible made a similar gesture as Tunde Bakare, guess What happened?... Remember when king David danced naked in public to honor God, and Micah, his wife (daughter of late king Saul) said, David didn't respect his office, why would a king dance in public and so on. It's recorded in my Bible that the Lord closed her womb and she remained barren. Bros Tunde, the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. Micah didn't make a public statement, hers was a thought, yet she got cursed. Be careful "man of God". Bros take am easy.
