Exclusive: "Oil Well" Discovered In Kuje Market

Pandemonium broke out at Kuje market in the Federal Capital territory on Monday when a substance perceived to be kerosene was discovered in a water well in the centre of the market.

According to an exclusive report filed in by one of our I Reporter at the scene, Oche the King,it all started on Monday 7^th January 2913,when some traders at the market who went to fetch water from the well discovered the change ..They fetched as many buckets as possible which apparently they use for domestic purposes. By the next day, the news have spread around the entire vicinity with a long queue of people waiting to have their turn.

As usual in such circumstances, hell was let lose as everywhere scrambled for the product. This almost led to a breakdown of law and order there by attracting the presence of Kuje Area council chairman Hon(DR) Danladi Etsu Zhin who visited the place with some security personnel.

In order to stop the growing insecurity being generated by the new discovery, he ordered that the well be sealed pending a proper investigation as to the source of the product and its veracity.

Security agents quickly sealed it up and have restored law and order to the area.

Meanwhile, it cannot be confirmed how the so called Kerosene found it’s into the well. While some believe it could be a leakage from an oil pipe, some others believe oil may be the beginning of discovery of oil within the area. For now, the well is sealed and investigation is ongoing..
