EFCC Arrests Rochas Finance Commissioner

 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested the Imo State Commissioner of Finance, Deacon Okafor John and the Accountant General of the state, Eche Ezenna George, over fraud related charges.

Spokesman for the commission Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrests and said the officials were being held at the EFCC detention facilities at the Abuja head office.
Unofficial sources in the EFCC disclosed that the Imo state officials are being questioned in connection to fraud charges in several capital market transactions.
