A Bauchi State civil servant, Abbas Ahmed
Faggo, who was sacked over alleged injurious comments he made about Governor
Isa Yuguda on his face book page, has given the state government a seven day
ultimatum to re-instate him or face legal action. Faggo’s threat was
contained in a letter sent to the Bauchi State Head of Service, and signed by
his counsel, Barrister Usman Darazo.
“Our client has
informed us that his appointment with the Bauchi State government which is
governed by the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations 2001, was brought to an
abrupt end by your letter dated November 13, 2012, with reference number
GO/ESM/S/DIS/1/T.2.
“However, we have
reviewed the entire process that led to the termination of our client’s
appointment and we realized that the proper procedures laid down in the statute
governing our clients service with Bauchi State government was not observed. We
demand from you the immediate re-instatement of our client back to his service
with all his entitlements and privileges of office.
“Take notice that
if you fail to meet our demands within seven days from the receipt of same, we
shall be left with no option than to commence a legal action against the
government of Bauchi State”, part of the latter read.
