The family of the pilot of ill fated Helicopter that
crashed in Bayelsa with the Governor of Kaduna State and former National
Security Adviser Gen Owoeye Azazi ,Commander
Murtala Daba has expressed their shock on his death
In a message exclusively sent to CKN Nigeria by one of his
cousins, Auwal Anwar,the family expressed shock at the development..According
to him, Commander Daba was just promoted this month and the family was looking
forward to a successful celebration before the crash.

“Well, it is now official. My cousin has passed away. On December 1, 2012, he sent me a text that he was promoted a Commander in the Nigerian Navy. I congratulated him and promised to 'wash it' for him very soon. He was very happy. He was the naval pilot in today's plane crash. Commodore Murtala Daba, may Allah reward your kindness and good works, forgive your human infractions and place you in His paradise alFirdaus. May Yasmin, your daughter, grow up to be a useful addition to mankind. May your wife keep praying for you for the rest of her days and may she have the fortitude to bear your absence. And May the souls of the Gov. Yakowa, General Azazi and the other departed rest in peace”.
