Tyrant NTA Int'l GM Bans Use Of Laptops In Office

The nuisance at one of NTA stations, the gateway to the outside world,NTA International is taking a turn for the worst since the appointment of a new General Manager for the Abuja station.

Located in the belly of NTA Headquarters in Area 8 Abuja,NTA International has known no peace since the station was taken over by  Obowo ,Imo State born  Ms Ego Mbagwu mid last year.

The station which was conceived to be Nigeria’s mouth [piece to the outside world just like the Voice of Nigeria has practically lost its glory and standard set by pioneered GM Ngozi Nssien,a veteran of the broadcasting industry in Nigeria.

Since assuming office,Ms Mbagwu has turned what was once a growing media outfit to a personal house where all her words are law that must be obeyed.

Several independent producers have to leave because of her hostile attitude. Quality of programming has dropped. Staff morale is at its lowest ebb.

Our investigation also shows that she derives joy in creating confusion amongst staff of the station.

All these are affecting the quality of the station thereby making it a none competing platform.

Only recently to add to her tyrannical nature, few days ago,Ms Ego Mbagwu sent out a memo that all staff must desist from bringing their laptops to the office.

The station can hardly boast of more than five computers to serve her over 30 staff. In this jet age, when information management is key to information dissimilation, and where news breaks at the speed of lightning, its yet to be known how NTA International staff will be kept abreast of happenings around them.

For an organization that should pride itself as an information chain, her recent directive leaves much to be desired.

Its yet to be known if her action (s) is supported the DG of NTA..All attempt by CKN Nigeria to get her reaction to some of these allegations were unsuccessful.
