This man died yesterday about 5.15pm at the roundabout at Oyingbo Bus-Stop. He said he was going to St Paul's Catholic Church Clinic the previous day but could not move beyond the bus-stop due to weakness. He was at the spot for over 24 hours without receiving any help.

.50pm. After assessing the man, I knew that all that is needed at that time was an ambulance. We called 767 and they promised to contact LASEMBUS.
After the 3rd attempt, a call to Femi Poluyi (Lagos Mainland Supervisory Councillor for Health) went through at 4.03pm. He picked the call and the line went off after stating the problem at hand.
Seye called the Chairman of the LGA (Mr Lado Oladele). When he did not pick the call, he was sent a text message. He also sent a message to Mr Poluyi. He called Hon Musiliu Alao (Member of House of Representative representing Lagos Mainland) and we were asked to contact the council officials.
Seye was at the council office at Glover Street where two ambulances were packed and he was told that the ambulances were not being used for things like that.
Thanks to Slumdweller De Great Agbodemu and Gbinigie Osayande Solomon Mansolo, we finally got through to LASEMBUS (Calling all their advertised numbers showed that something is wrong with their set-up too).
The man gave his last breath at the time LASEMBUS arrived at 5:15pm.

All the party involved are responsible for the man death. Instead of u to drive him in ur car u are saying u called this and that, so disappointing.
ReplyDeleteHow would you expect him to drive the man in his car? Don't you know the kind of trouble he would have gotten into if the man died in his car? Or don't you know the kind of country Nigeria is? I am disappointed in your ignorant comment.
