- Blessed L. Aigbedion more of home trouble than drugs. he is not the only drug user in nigeria. some of your governors, senators, musicians, actors, actresses past & present are known users. just pray you dont have troubles, bad belle & envy like he has.
- Lanre Kofo-Kasunmu What a tragedy!! Wasted talent. The last time I saw Majek in 2000, he was already a pitiful sight begging us for money at an Africa restaurant (Stella's). We all hoped and prayed that he gets out of his self inflicted predicament, evidently our prayers were unanswered!!!
- Omonzane Akhere May . G̶̲̥̅Ơ̴͡D̲̅ change his situation around bcos only Jehovah forgives Α̲̅Ω̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ forgets opur past. Stop judging him cos u have ur own wit u
- Lanre Kofo-Kasunmu Pls my brethren, Majek is not getting better, he is getting worse by the day. I think his drug addiction started when I saw him last in New York begging for dollars
- Biodun Caston-dada @Blessed, why do we like not to call a spade a spade? There's nowhere in the world that a Drug Addict won't be like this whether governor or president. It depends on ur dosage and frequency. If you end up taking it too far more than your body weight can take, then you have no choice but to go down this way whether Governor or President, DRUG ADDICTION HAVE NO RESPECT FOR STATUS
- Biodun Caston-dada Talking of Bad Belle and Envy, will his own be more than an Omotola, 2face, Genevieve, D'banj, and the likes??? We just like to make flimsy excuses for our short-comings and quick to say it's DEVILS HANDWORK. I only hope young generation learn from this. Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse are good examples of a good story turn sour
- I spent the whole summer of 2010 with Baba...He is the last of the living legends and we are doing nothing to assist other than criticize. Maybe we will love him after he's gone. Fela is gone, Bob Marley is gone, Lucky Dube is gone....this is the greatest talent to come out of Nigeria in our generation, but we dont reciprocate his love for our nation and our motherland. Even through all of the setbacks and struggles, I love Majek sha http://youtu.be/

- Try put a good face on a bad game and see how it turns out.Majek and only Majek can help himself.Did I hear u ask how?By walking out of the filthy habit just as boldly as he strolled in.If he can do that, then his rehab has started, his recovery and final healing is round the corner. The good Lord has fulfilled His side of the bargain, waiting 4 u Majek

- Biodun Caston-dada @ADE, I don't think I can find the basis for your argument. He wasn't forced into drugs by anybody so why all this cries? That is why we need to move closer to God whenever we see our self getting close to stardom or success. many people have come to his aids to help rehabilitate him, but the problem with drug addiction is that, you must be ready for rehabilitation, and the bulk of the job lies with the addict

- You guys don't know what happened to Majek Fashek its more than drugs and habits, H e played into the hands of the western world when he left the shores of this country in the 90's, the same conspiracy that befall Bob Marley and Lucky dube, peter tosh, Mj, the positive side is that its not too late for Majek and well meaning Nigerians can come together to help, its lot better than criticizing him!!23 hours ago · · 2

- The last time I saw Majek was at Fulton street in front of Bisimilahi restaurant, conversing with a pretty lady. Hey Majek how you doing? I ask him, he turn around and look at me with a smiling face and responded, fine, did you remember me at Climax magazine , I asked, he looked a little bit lost, then I remind him of a very fascinating picture, I shot during one of his concert in Lagos. Oh oh yes I remember, he said. Then he turn back to the lady by introducing me as one of the photojournalist back home. Seeing him was in 2010. Today Majek need spiritual help and rehabilitation.

- Is he sick or something.
1) Ckn or Majeck is addicted to drugs.
2) where dose he get the name Chris kehinde Nwandu, I thought he is a Benin man?
3) His main problem is that he lost focus and directions.
For him to get out of this mess he will first embrace JAH his CREATOR and stop a bobom-clothk thing because I'm feeling that he is a shit nigga that left is role/office to another mans' part.
A man that is still in a barty boy mode, he left things to run him in American Shores...

- Majek, I know very well, having shared bed and food with him from way before 'Prisoner of Conscience' when we all hangout at Japex Studios, Anthony Village with Ja'Stix in which Majek with Black Rice, George Orwells and Amos McRoy while the likes of Feladey, Fortune Ortega and a whole lot of musicians were always around. I can tell you for a fact that Majek was not smoking the Nigerian National Grass; his only indulgence was a small bottle of Guinness when we are going for a show especially the Sunday afternoon shows opening for Femi at a time Baba was in the big house. Even then he will drink the hot one. If he started any deviant behaviour, it was the white people who taught him these things. let's pray for him to see the light - this is not the Majek definitely not my man Magic Majek Fashek, all action no fashion.17 hours ago · · 2

- Charlimo Imoloame Majek has done well in his chosen carrier and if we cannot understand the changes gong on in his life, we should continue to pray for his quick recovery. God has kept him alive all we need to do is to support what can lead to his recovery.14 hours ago · · 3
- There are many factors that contribute to the sudden changes of Majek. Drugs related, liver desease or kidney , not to rule out HIV.many times Majek have been swindle by greedy promoters and Managers who oversee his assets, all gone now, he is let alone with only the memory of the past. Will Majek recover from self destruction , only time will tell, maybe if Majek could fight his inner demon that enshrouds him , maybe, if he could that , he may become the Master of his own destiny. God help him see the light once again.!!!

- Majek Fashee in a New york york york! O, how are the might fallen. Is this the robust, ever-smiling, handsome Rainmaker? - Tee Mac Iseli Majek is a great guy, but unfortunately fell into the trap of drugs. Let this be a lesson to all up coming musicians. To much of everything makes you old fast. I am Majek's senior by 10 years and still play 2-3 hour shows, moderation and specially chosen food keeps you young. ( I have not eaten meat in 36 years as an example). I wish Majek well and do speak to him regularly.3 hours ago · · 2
- Uncle Tee Mac Iseli thanks for your comment sir, Majek Fashek was a prominent member of PMAN and also has contributed so much to Nigerian Music, His "send down the rain" therefore Sir it would be nice if senior musicians like you, Orits Williki, Raskimono, Rosiji, Blaccky and our younger musicians to mobilize and organize a show in solidarity to raise funds for our dear Majek, he sure needs rehabilitation but more than that he needs love and care, by the time Majek sees that other have stood-up to identify with him surely he'll rise again!!2 hours ago · · 1

Dear CKN and all, I was just imagining how if all of us can do a little more; by getting our selves around Majek. Don't mind the Rasta-dialogue CKN shared with us. My problem though is that his manager and friend I suppose - Black Rice or something may not be telling him the truth, that's if they are not in same shoe. Unfortunately those are the kind of people he trust.
ReplyDeleteBrethren, Majek needs us now than ever, just like some of us had noted earlier. Is there anything wrong in us setting up a foundation for Majek, to first sponsor his rehabilitation, am sure he can get on better, then use whatever remains to readjust his life plan, may be come up with RainMaker Dome, where he will be playing every other weekend and have steady income his way with a grand promise NEVER TO TOUCH DRUGS, no matter how small or little it may look. His asserting to this promise will be of good encouragement for those who want to help truly. May be his Black Rice friend should tell us when his FB comes alive, but before then, bro Rain Maker needs us since our government has refused to recognise talents in Nigerians and what inspiration his rehabilitation will be for the future generation. God bless Nigeria.

-
