The plan by
Governor Rochas Okorocha to relocate the Imo state University (IMSU) to a
permanent site in Ideato, his country home has been dropped. The governor, who
addressed journalists in Owerri, yesterday said plans have been concluded to
establish the Imo-European University in the state to provide more
opportunities for Imo indigenes who are desirous of university education.
Okorocha said issues relating to the establishment of
Loyola Jesuit University have also been concluded, adding that about 300
hectares of land have been provided for the commencement of work. He said IMSU
will be relocated somewhere within Owerri zone.
This guy will end up being the best governor in Nigeria the way he is going. Imagine attracting two standard Universities just within a year. Abeg oga we need you in Delta state.
