CKN Nigeria To Host 2nd African Parliamentary Awards In Abuja..Sept


The second edition of the  African Parliamentary Awards being organized by The Gavel Media Inc,CKN Nigeria and Ikenga Entertainment Inc will hold in Abuja in September 2012.

The first edition was held in Abuja Nigeria on Wednesday 28th July 2010 at the International conference Centre Abuja and was attended by dignitaries from all works of life.

The aims of the award are to recognize Parliamentarians in African who have distinguished themselves in the areas of Legislation, Oversight functions, Law making and Constituency projects.

According to the Executive Director of African Parliamentary Awards ,Chris Kehinde Nwandu ,said the nominees were arrived at through sms messages, online voting, facebook,twitter,website and on spot assessment of  their contribution since elected as a legislators.

The event holds in Abuja Nigeria at the Sheraton Suite and Towers on Saturday 29th September 2012 at 2pm.

The ceremony will be attended by top echelons in the public and private sectors as well as those in government and foreign missions.

Previous awardees includes Senators Olorunimbe Mamora,Chris Anyanwu,Victor Ndoma Egba,Kabiru Gaya,Bob Effiong and honourables Abike Dabiri,Patrick Obahiagbon amongst others.

  1. CKN, If Chris Anyanwu is the same former Senator that represented Okigwe zone and came from Obowu LGA in Imo state, what achievements did he made in Okigwe or Obowu that qualified him to receive the honor you gave him ? The only thing we saw was his huge country mansion in his village.

  2. The person that represented Okigwe Senatorial zone (inclusive of Obowu) was Sylvester Anyanwu not Chris Anyanwu..CKN
