Subscribers to Only Nigerian indigenous GSM network has I
the past three days have complained over the total network failure by the giant
network owned by business mogul Mike Adenuga..From Lagos to Abuja,Owerri to Jos
and all around the federation, the story has been the same.
Mostly hit were voice applications and data. Most Globacom
subscribers said they have not been able to use their phones since Monday
morning. Chioma, a Youth Corp member serving in the FCT said, it’s the worst
services she received from the network since inception..She said to make matter
worse; the organization has not find it necessary to inform its customers the
reasons for the problem.
Also speaking to CKN Nigeria, Stephanie,a staff of African
Independent Television (AIT) said her blackberry services has been off since Monday
too.
Another Nigerian based in United Kingdom Kayode Yussuf
said he has not been able to speak with her sister who resides in Nigeria and
uses the Glo network for days.
Mrs Kaycee Obayemi said she was tired of the network and
may decide to change to another network
While no staff of Globacom was ready to speak with CKN
Nigeria on this development, a staff who decides to speak on condition of anonymity
said the company had a serious network failure days back and that all is been
done to remedy the situation. He said some of the services were restored this
morning.
Our attempt to also get the reaction of the regulatory
body the Nigerian Communications Commission was unsuccessful as of the time of
