Ground Vehicle Collides With Airbus A320 Plane At Tarmac


 

A ground vehicle has collided with an easyJet Airbus A320, registration OE-IJO, which was parked at Paris Orly Airport. 

At the time of the incident, the aircraft was empty, with no passengers or crew on board. 

The impact damaged the fuselage of the aircraft and shattered the windscreen of the truck involved. Fortunately, no one was injured.

easyJet said the aircraft is undergoing inspections and repairs in accordance with safety protocols. 

As a result of the accident, the flight to Rome Fiumicino has been cancelled.

According to preliminary reports, the truck was carrying out maintenance work on the apron when it hit the aircraft. 

There are indications that the driver may have mistakenly accelerated instead of braking.
